Have you have ever heard of someone complain that some FPS games are tedious when they have the player traverse great distances to push button A in order to achieve result B? This game is that, except you do not get to have any real fun doing it, and the puzzles are more meaningless. "Use bird on cloud, bird is charged, put bird on TV to get juice from ghost"Yeah...There are no mechanics to make gameplay enjoyable, the characters move slowly, and since all one is doing is effectively randomly combining junk or using items in nonsensical ways, all of which is separated by great distance, it feeling meaningless.. Cool look, cool music. Fun explore weird planets and solve puzzles. I felt like the ending came rather abruptly, but overall enjoyable play.. *Gnome Seal of Approval*A pretty good game for its price. The characters are funny and the art in general is pretty darn good.However, it does feel a bit tedious and unintuitive at times.I was on the fence whether I'd recommend this or not, but ended up on a thumbs up because of the positive points mentioned above.. Tales of Cosmos is an adventure game which treads a fine line between being fun and annoying to play but overall it has enough good qualities to recommend it. First, the bad - slowly flying around to various planets and satellites becomes tedious as the items you need are always spread out and there is a lot of flying around trying to figure out what you have missed. Perseus gives you hints which can be highly useful but generally making sense of the items and puzzles is hard work. I had to use a video to make progress a few times and some puzzles require exact timing as well as the correct combination of items. Still, the game has personality and is charming and funny which counts for something. The ending was also very nice.. simple concept, lovely artwork. Puzzles are intuitive and enjoyable.
